The Department of Speech Communication, Rhetoric, and Performance Studies at Hofstra University, is seeking two adjunct(s) instructor(s) to teach UG basic communication courses (Oral Communication Public Speaking) beginning Fall 2012.
Oral Communication is an introductory course that examines oral communication in interpersonal, group and public contexts. It has a public speaking component requiring the completion of at least one speech. Public Speaking is a skills course that focuses extemporaneous delivery of the genres of speech. Several speeches are delivered during the course of the term.

To be considered, the candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in Communication Studies or a related discipline and should have prior university teaching experience. Applicants should have a commitment to undergraduate teaching. Salary is competitive. Hofstra is accessible via public transit from anywhere in the Tri-State area.
