Our Business Operations team in a local Cambridge educational institution is in need of an administrative assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in handling the logistics of scheduling, travel, and expenses for a well known institution. This is a 6 month contract position and a great way to get your foot into academia and event planning/management. Duties and Responsibilities: -Determine logistical needs of internal and external events including Commencement and offsite academic program -Make travel/lodging arrangements for faculty staff -Supervision of contracted service providers for events and development of quality control standards. -Presence onsite to oversee events, setup needs, meet with clients beyond normal business days and hours of Mon.- Fri., 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. -Provide administrative clerical assistance to the Business Operations department Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 Qualifications: -Bachelor's Degree -At least 2 years administrative experience, preferably in event planning/management -Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint If you would like to apply, please call 617/354-7215 and speak with Helene, Heidi and Rippi.
