Role Summary/Purpose
Serves as key producer of Oracle database deliverables for assigned projects and areas.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops pro-active database management solutions
  • Designs, tests and installs database management systems for use with applications
  • Monitors database usage
  • Ensures appropriate linkages with applications to other data processing systems
  • Responsible for the control, integrity, and accessibility of the database file structure of one or more databases with multiple concurrent users
  • Constructs database specifications, provides fault isolation and resolution, tunes database applications for optimum performance, and implements disaster recovery and contingency plans
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Responsible for data integrity of the system inventory, as applicable
  • Responsible for the validation of all GxP relevant applications and maintaining the validated state of those applications
  • Aware of and comply with the change management work instruction

    Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of IT experience

    Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with Oracle database technologies (10g and above.)
  • Serve as a project team member
  • Coordinate efforts in line with the 'bigger picture'to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery and demonstrated history resolving conflicts in priority
  • Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Analytic, creative and technical problem solver
  • At least 2 years of experience on administration 10g/11g RAC on Linux/Solaris
  • At least 2 years of experience in performance tuning, ASM builds, OEM configuration
  • Green Belt certified
  • Leadership Training Program Experience (IMLP, OMLP, FMP)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
