Context
A part-qualified accountant is required to join the London finance team of an international re insurer, due to increased demands within the business. This is a career enhancing opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to get more exposure to month end accounting in a prestigious organisation.
Job Description
Assist in the production of financial and management accounting information.
Posting of prepayments and accruals.
Maintaining cash book. This involves recording the daily cash movements from the bank statement for all bank accounts.
Produce bank reconciliations. Responsible for reconciling 15 multi-currency bank accounts on a weekly or quarterly basis, depending on whether it is a primary bank account.
Employee account reconciliations.
Responsible for ensuring that travel and entertainment expenses have the correct receipts, are correctly allocated to the right nominal ledger, have been approved by the heads of department and are posted on SUN.
Responsible for purchasing and distributing foreign currency for employee travels.
Responsible for posting receipts, payments and other journals in SUN.
Maintaining the fixed assets register and posting of depreciation on a quarterly basis.
Responsible for maintaining the petty cash.
Assist with the preparation of documentation for SOX.
Responsible for supplier account reconciliations.
Corporate credit card administration.
Profile
The candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
They must have strong excel skills, and the ability to use different software applications.
Candidate to have at least 2 years relevant experience from either practice or industry

Strong academics
Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA- study support to be provided
