AVP – Financial Control recruitment

 The team are responsible for collecting and reviewing financial information on both PL and Balance Sheet to support internal decision making and reporting across the firm.

Key reporting responsibilities

To assist in the accurate, consistent financial reporting across the Corporate and Investment Bank.

External statutory advice and review to aid  reporting process for results announcements and annual reports

Business unit reporting to monitor movements

Enrichment of balance sheet management initiatives

Supporting  new FSA  and IFRS and reporting requirements

Role will include management information, strategic initiatives and control governance

Supporting external PLC statutory IFRS quarterly reporting

Assessing new financial reporting requirements under IFRS

Producing monthly Senior Management Team pack and product level commentary

Person Requirements

University degree or equivalent

Post qualification experience

Qualified accountant with an understanding of a relevant functional area such as financial reporting or technical accounting in an investment bank

Ability to challenge current processes and provide alternative solutions

Ability to communicate at all levels

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Understanding the key controls required in an investment bank
