AVP/VP Trade Support Equity
Job Description
This role has been established as part of the newly created Trade Support Utility model overseeing a team of Trade Support officers performing the daily T0/T1 transaction reconciliations for the Asia Equity business. The team will support both the Equity Derivative and Cash business working closely with Operation partners to ensure seamless processing and robust controls.
Initially there will be a strong focus on change management and process reengineering to build the team.
Responsibilities
- Day to day management and oversight of a team of approx 9 FTE
- Responsible for the timely delivery of T0/T1 transaction reconciliations. Investigation and resolution of all trade exceptions and query management within agreed SLA Escalation and reporting of key issues that arise
- Perform daily control checks, break management reporting approvals Perform daily supervisory oversight, spot checks daily review of teams output to minimize manual errors.
- Track training plans and competency levels of the team.
- Ensure control framework is in place for processes, identify control gaps and ensure controls are implemented to close gaps.
- Scrutinize processes to identify issues within the flow and review with senior management.
- Build forge relationships with the Front Office and supporting teams.
- Manage team resources ensuring resource availability for UAT and staff absences
- Provide management with quarterly presentations on teams key achievements.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience managing a small team within a Trade Support or Operations environment within an Investment Bank.
- Control focussed, understands risks and impact of errors and is able to initiate solutions to remediate problems.
- Seasoned change management skills, ability to take charge and drive forward change initiatives
- Strong communication skills
