Responsibilities Under general supervision, provides clinical services for psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program and provides psychiatric diagnostic assessments. Works as part of a clinical treatment team that includes the medical director and manager of outpatient services. Participates in policy and program development, and marketing for the program; assists in data collection; and provides supervision and training to personnel, students, and volunteers as needed. 1. Formal Education Required: a. Masters Degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field of study and currently licensed as an LISW, LPCC or RN with MSN, or licensed clinical Psychologist. b. Will consider a Psychology PhD Candidate, or Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellow. 2. Experience Training Required: a. Minimum of three to five years behavioral health clinical experience. b. At least two years experience providing intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization clinical care preferred. c. Must have (or attain within one year) nonviolent crisis intervention certification and maintain same thereafter. d. Must have or attain BLS-C certification and maintain certification thereafter. 3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Must have knowledge of DSM-IV and Cognitive/ Behavior Therapy skills b. Basic knowledge of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment issues and interventions desired. c. Able to react calmly and effectively in crisis situations, and be able to work under pressure and time constraints. Schedule variable
