Description

The incumbent will be responsible for completing business analysis projects as assigned by the BDS CAO team. This will require him/her to examine the needs of the division by using many research techniques, including conducting interviews with management, department leaders and other staff; analyze documentation, facts and figures; conduct site surveys; consider business applications being used and determine their quality of performance; and evaluate work flows to assess difficulties in reaching goals and determine improved strategies. The qualified incumbent will be able to ascertain the true needs to be met by a project or process, and will be able to transfer information from management into needed data. He/she will be able to take that information and compile reports that can be easily understood and implemented.

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Proactively communicate and collaborate with business development, product management, systems, sales, compliance, risk monitoring, account documentation and KYC/CIP conformance monitoring and other key internal constituents to analyze information needs and functional requirements and create required deliverables. Utilize experience in using established definition and management systems and methodologies required. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Work independently of, as well as with direction from, the CAO and other project managers. Drive and challenge business areas to define concepts and units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. Serve as the conduit between the workforce level community and management in the understanding of granular functions and workflow processes. Collaborate with subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Qualifications

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts. Some experience in defining operational risk and an understanding of compliance audit reviews and implementation/conversion, is required. Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, leading to effective interactions with Chief Administration Office constituents and collaboration with peers, are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project, and Visio. Experience with Lotus Notes preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Business. Project Management Program (PMP) preferred. 3 years in a corporate setting. 8 years in a corporate setting preferred.
