The Nutritionist/Dietician/Clinical Associate will provide nutrition services for the West Virginia Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program in the Office of Maternal, Child, and Family Health (OMCFH). Responsibilities will include: 1) providing nutrition case management and clinical nutrition services for children enrolled in and applying to the CSHCN Program through home and clinic visits and phone contacts; completing paperwork to obtain nutritional supplements through insurance programs, 2) working with other programs, agencies and vendors to facilitate authorization for securing medical foods, 3) documenting client contacts; working with the CHSCN Program to maintain records, 4) working with multidisciplinary teams to provide services; communicating with family members and caregivers, 5) serving as a liaison between the CSHCN Program and other programs, agencies, committees and task forces, 6) providing training and consultation to agencies, organizations and families to promote knowledge of CSHCN Program nutrition services, 7) attending staff meetings and maintaining Registered Dietician certification. Minimum qualifications: Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public or Community Health. Registered Dietitian, licensed in West Virginia. A minimum of two years of work experience as a dietitian is required. Additionally, one year of work experience in developmental disabilities and in pediatrics, or a willingness to develop expertise in these areas is also required. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position located in Big Chimney, WV based on an annual salary range of $41,400 - $44,400, plus a generous benefits package. The position requires extensive travel.
