Sodexo is seeking for a Chef Manager for a corporate unit in Columbus, OH. The Chef Manager at this location will be responsible in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, food production, quality assurance, receiving, ordering, and coordinating of the food production employees, active role in finance / cost control / food production, responsible for the supervision of kitchen personnel employees, and provide training to cooks / production staff. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in managing a kitchen staff, training and developing cooks / production staff, and related experience in culinary services / Food Production / Cost Labor control. Experience in contact management / country club / hotel is preferred. Position Summary : Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM.
