We are looking to fill an immediate staffing need for a Chemist I. The candidate selected for the role will act as point person in the lab to track reagents, order supplies and perform basic and applied research in the area of agrochemical product formulations.
Responsibilities:
· Order and track reagent use in the lab using electronic database management systems.
· Prepare stock solutions and treatment solutions of agrichemical formulations.
· Characterize agrichemical formulations by solubility, pH and stability and other biophysical characteristics.
· Assist in the evaluation of agrichemical performance.
Required Skills/Experience:
· B.S. /M.S. in Chemistry preferred with at least 2+ year relevant laboratory experience; will consider Biochemistry, Biology, or related field of study if strong chemistry training/experience.
· Knowledge of general chemistry and working with chemicals and preparation of solutions in a safe manner.
· Attention to detail, organized and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Desired skills/experience:
· Direct research experience in agrichemical formulations and/or delivery a plus.
