CHIEF ENGINEER

This position is responsible for providing technical leadership in the requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and testing for multifaceted Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program(s). 

In this position you'll act as the technical expert to ensure successful systems integration for all facets of an unmanned, carrier-launched, surveillance and strike aircraft. 

Responsibilities include:

Participating in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). 

Developing robust Total Ownership Cost (TOC) analyses. 

Performing top level design tasks using systems engineering methodology to derive requirements and TOC impacts nd creating systems engineering document trees. 

Identifying engineering issues and providing leadership in developing solutions. Will contribute to the development of new and expansion of existing business opportunities. 

Directing and actively participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required technical talent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires an advanced degree in an engineering related field with at least thirteen years of progressively complex management experience.  Must have:  (1) extensive knowledge and understanding of multiple engineering disciplines and how they relate to systems integration for unmanned, carrier-launched, surveillance and strike aircraft; (2) demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence and execution; (3) ability to create innovative technology solutions to diverse, complex issues; (4) comprehensive project management skills to meet deadlines or milestones; (5)  exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; and (6) strong customer service focus with experience working with government customers.  Must also be able to work extended hours and travel as required.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 

A Professional Engineering License, original work(s) published in professional engineering journals and United States Navy aviation experience.
