Key Responsibilities include:

Finance Organization Management:

• Build/enhance and mentor a financial team capable of supporting the rest of the organization

• Ensure the finance department is staffed with experts who consistently demonstrate exceptional performance

• Establish a “service-oriented” culture within the finance function

• Oversee the accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions

Financial Strategy:

• Provide useful financial insights to make well-informed decisions about formulating and executing strategy

• Ensure financial integrity by fully understanding the markets the company serves, and is able to accurately recognize and report revenues

Budgeting, Reporting, and Controls:

• Identify and track key metrics to drive the growth of the business

• Ensure compliance with budgets and operating plans, from a financial perspective, and providing operating management with the timely reporting necessary for them to manage their operations effectively

• Direct the preparation of all financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and other reports

• Ensure reliability and integrity of financial reporting

Accounting Activities:

• Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements

• Review all month-end closing activities including GL maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and allocations

• Enhance and/or implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems

• Manage preparation and support of external and internal audits

Teamwork:

• Interact effectively with other parts of the firm

• Become a trusted business advisor across organization

Qualifications Required Skills:

• MBA and/or CPA preferred

• Ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• An experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate financial services industry experience

• An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image

• A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus

• A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player

• An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills

• An excellent negotiator who is experienced in contracts.

• A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in systems

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents

• Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints

• Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities, as well as to accept direction on assignments

• Proactive and flexible in providing day-to-day and long-term business solutions

• Strong project management skills
