About the Investment Office
The Investment Office runs a sophisticated Position, Risk and Performance management function that is built on an industry-leading platform.
On top of this, cutting-edge technology is using to sort, filter, manage and display portfolios, risk reports, scenarios and other key management information, on both a real-time and historical basis.
The Role
The role will:
- Manage, maintain, develop and improve all aspects of the portfolio risk reporting. Whilst the databases themselves are managed by the in-team IT manager, the candidate will interface directly with the data and need to be familiar with the Db structures.
- Demand familiarity with a range of asset classes and products, both physical and derivatives.
- Closely support both the Senior Investment Director and Head of Risk and Performance in day-to-day portfolio and risk management. This will involve the running and reviewing of regular reports, spotting and highlighting financial risks and suggesting actions.
- Assist closely in all trading and hedging activity.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Upper class degree in a numerate subject from a leading University
- Excellent A-levels or equivalent
- Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables
- Familiarity with database software and technologies
- The role is likely to suit a candidate who has spent a small amount of time in Front Office Capital Markets, and specifically in the areas of trading or portfolio management at a Bank, Asset Manager or Hedge Fund.
- The candidate will be technical, highly numerate, and familiar with a broad range of Capital Market products.
