Monitors, maintains, operates and upgrades the VoIP and ISDN infrastructure for a government facility in Washington D.C. Responsible for infrastructure integrity and availability for approximately 3,000 mixed ISDN/VoIP/Ethernet customers. Administer Cisco Unity voicemail servers and associated hardware/appliance components. Operate and maintain voice infrastructure, including vendor and security patching. Ensure compliance with Department of Defense Security Technology Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), and associated vendor security and operability best practices. Interoperates with server, transport, and telecommunications teammates to ensure a seamless client experience.
Provides engineering recommendations for infrastructure optimizaton, upgrades, and enhancements. Evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions to address both short and long term client needs.
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
Requirements:
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with completed SSBI.
- Must possess current Information Assurance certification (Security+ or higher).
- Skilled in Cisco VoIP infrastructures including Unity (versions 5.0 and above) Unified Voice Messaging.
- Experienced in Unity system design and architecture, security and feature enhancements.
- Skilled in Linux and Exchange 2010 unified messaging (certification a definite plus).
- Skilled in network VoIP hardware solutions, Quality Of Service (QOS), TFTP, ACD systems, and PIMG configurations.
- Familiarity with mixed ISDN and VoIP infrastructures a plus.
- Must possess CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice (formerly CCVP) is required. Transcripts or proof of voice/VoIP product administrator certification training is a plus.
