Leading Lloyds of London Insurance business has an outstanding opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join the team.
Our client is a $30 billion strong insurance business and known as one of the strongest brokers and risk providers in the market.
The Risk Manager will need to have a strong background in the Insurance market, with commercial and wholesale experience being preferable to retail and ideally have had exposure to Lloyd’s of London environment. The compliance officer is required to have strong experience of the FSA, with knowledge and use of the FSA handbook and have up to date knowledge and awareness of current and future proposed legislation.
The Risk and Compliance Manager will:
- Drive the implementation and maintenance of a robust and effective risk and compliance management framework.
- Identify any emerging risks, and facilitate maintenance (review and update) of the risk register, and risk treatment plans.
- Provide specific guidance and support to the London Market broking operations, in close liaison with the London Market Broking Operations Director, ensuring compliance to both Lloyd's of London and FSA regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulators and industry stakeholders on an on-going basis in order to understand current compliance issues facing the industry, and develop and implement plans to address changes or initiatives arising.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies and procedures by monitoring compliance of operations and overseeing compliance audits, including systematic reviews.
- Provide compliance sign-off on all external compliance related documents, seeking legal advice and/or guidance where appropriate.
Candidates MUST have:
- Background in Risk Management or Compliance across the Lloyds of London or UK Retail
- Experience of Risk Frameworks
- Understanding of Solvency II implementation
- Understanding of FSA and their impact on regulation and governance to the insurance industry
- Experience of Audit
