Credit Sales – Asia
Senior sales position to expand the credit desk at a leading investment bank in London. Some knowledge/ experience of the Asian markets is of preference.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- To work directly with the Global Head of Credit sales to consolidate further and expand the international reach of the UK desk
- Be influential in developing and executing the UK Sales strategy
- Increase levels of business passing through the desk, improving profitability – build and develop key relationships with the UK and European customer base ( institutional accounts – asset manager’s, banks, private banks )
- Regular travel to conferences, presentations, client meetings etc
- Responsible for the distribution of G10 / Emerging Markets ( Asian ) credit products ( High Yield / Investment Grade / Convertible bonds ) to UK and European institutional credit investors.
- Maintain a daily relationship with the credit investor base
- Actively engage the trading desk to facilitate trading between my client and the credit investors
- Proactively provide trade ideas, market updates, research etc to increase trading activity
- Coordinate with internal partners to enhance client relationships in the UK and Europe
Required skills / attributes:
- Minimum 5 years sales experience on a credit sales desk on the sell side ( at a bank or a broker ) resulting in:
- A very good technical knowledge of flow credit products – high yield, high grade, convertible bonds
- G10 and emerging markets expertise ( Asian credits in particular )
- An account list of institutional clients based in the UK / Pan-European ( institutional accounts – asset manager’s, banks, private banks ). Provision of an account list may be required during the recruitment process
- A strong track record of revenues generated from credit sales
- Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment
- Proven track record of impressive revenues generated from Credit Sales
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and credit skills
