Cross-Asset Sales -Securitized/Mortgages

Leading investment bank based in New York looking to add a senior sales person to their Cross-Asset / Mortgage Sales desk. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years’ experience selling securitized / mortgages to institutional clients located in North America. The candidate must have a transferable book of business of institutional clients and be able to start generating revenue. This bank has international reach and a very strong presence globally.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for primary coverage of US based institutional clients. The focus of the role will be to contribute to and increase the number of active investors ( institutional clients ) to whom the bank distributes securitized / mortgage products. In time, the chosen candidate will also contribute to the development and training of more junior sales people on the desk. This role will have a broad mandate allowing flexibility with constructing securitized / mortgage products that the institutional client base demands.

The role:
• Maintain and develop relationships with institutional clients based in the USA
• Develop the US institutional client franchise by improving levels of business passing through desk and therefore profitability
• Market securitized / mortgage products
• Advise clients and provide them with trade ideas.

Requirements:
• Approximately 4 years industry experience or more
• Must have market knowledge, interest, and experience in the securitized / mortgage products industry
• A strong track record of selling to institutional clients, with a particular focus on securitized / mortgage products
• Understanding of concepts like securitization, sales etc
• Knowledge of the securitized / mortgage products credit and documentation process
• Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment
• Good understanding of US regulatory feedback
• A transferable institutional client list based in the USA
