Cyber VA Incident Responder

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated, qualified professional to fill a Cyber Threat Analyst position in Springfield, VA. The position will provide advanced intrusion analysis support to high technology investigations in the form of TCPdump Analysis, General Network Traffic Analysis, IDS Signatures and Analysis, and Intrusion Detection Analysis. Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding and network security and encryption. Assist in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating and analyzing computer network intrusions.

A wide range of knowledge and skills are needed such as incident response, network forensics, computer forensics, intrusion analysis, intrusion methodologies, intelligence analysis, CI indicator recognition, CI analysis reporting, technical reporting, and presentation skills for various government customers. Ideal candidates will be experienced in Cyber-CI/CE/CT investigations and/or operations and have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced and dynamic environment for high impact, mission-critical network security operations.

Position Requirements
- Minimum of Six (4) years experience in Information Security/Information Assurance

- Minimum of 2 years experience in one or more of the following:

o Understanding and hands-on experience in computer computer intrusion analysis, incident response, intrusion detection;

o Computer network surveillance/monitoring;

o Knowledge and understanding of network protocols, network devices, multiple operating systems, and secure architectures; and

o Current computer network penetration testing and techniques.

- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

o computer network forensics;

o computer network vulnerabilities penetration techniques;

- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Candidates should have at least general understanding of the following tools:

o TCPdump o SourceFire and/or SNORT

o Wireshark (Ethereal)

- Experience with devices/utilities such as ArcSight, NetWitness, and Remedy are a plus.

- Experience in analyzing audit logs, router logs, firewall logs, IDS logs and IPS logs

- Intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting process/procedures

- Current cyber threats and the associated tactics, techniques, and procedures used to infiltrate computer networks

- Current experience with network intrusion detection and response operations

- Experience in delivering information briefings

- Unix, Linux, Windows XP/NT/2K, Windows Server, Windows Exchange, Oracle, SQL

- Excellent analytical ability

Required Clearance
Active TS/SCI security clearance

Highly Desired Qualifications:
DoDI 8570 IAT Level II Compliant Certification

Degree Requirements: Bachelors in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
