Deployment Engineer required to work with my client on a permanent basis to assist with the delivery of complex Managed IT services to their customer base. Primarily serving an internal customer you will be required to run installation and quality assurance tasks on a variety of physical and virtual devices.
Reporting to the Deployment Manager your key duties will include but are not limited to; the installation of Server Operating Systems (MS Windows 2003 2008, RedHat Linux5, Unbunto, VMware ESX) Installation of Firewall systems; Quality assurance tasks and Installation of Server balancing systems.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound technical skills in at least 4 of the following areas; Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008; Experience with Checkpoint Fortinet Firewalls; Redhat Debian Linux; Solaris, VMware ESX, NAS NFS/CIFS (preferably NetApp); SAN FC/iSCSI; TCP/IP; Load Balancing and Veritas Netbackup.
The following technologies are desirable but not essential; Cisco, Juniper, CDN, Database Clustering, IBM Xseries server; Unix Shell scripting and Citrix Netscaler.
