Director, Investment Officer recruitment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Structures and carries out research analyses (primarily empirical) related to INTECH’s investment process, products and investment performance as well as structures and implements independent research to enhance INTECH’s reputation and expand its business opportunities.

• Designs and creates literature, exhibits, etc. that provide potential clients, existing clients and consultants, and the professional staff with an understanding of INTECH’s investment process, products and investment performance.

• Coordinates with various departments to obtain and maintain the data needed to support research projects.

• Coordinates with Research Investment Team in Princeton, on the management of database and technical information used in graphical displays of various statistical measures.

• Works as a member of INTECH’s investment team and, ultimately, senior management to provide the insights necessary to improve activities related to the client relations and consultant relations aspects of INTECH’s business.

• Meets with potential clients, consultants and investment team members to explain INTECH’s investment process, products and investment performance and to answer questions and address concerns.

• Educates and trains INTECH’s staff on investment process.

• Supports and trains INTECH and Janus investment teams in sales, client and consultant servicing research to enhance INTECH’s reputation and expand its business opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of and interest in finance and investments and willingness to learn new approaches to investing.

• Understanding of and ability to perform empirical work in finance using SAS (preferred), Matlab, or R.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Ability to communicate complex concepts intuitively.

• Ability to listen to and observe others, identify hidden concerns and misunderstanding and address those concerns and misunderstandings appropriately.

• Exceptional quantitative ability and knowledge.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years of investment and empirical research experience.

• Client-facing work experience preferred.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D. in Finance or Economics. CFA, preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Travel up to 30%.
