CSC has an immediate requirement for an experienced System Engineer for the EnRoute Technical Assistance Support Services (ETASS) contract with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Located in Arlington, VA. US Citizen or Permanent Resident and clearable for position of public trust. Essential Job Functions Candidate will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in evaluating new concepts by analyzing new technologies and architectures. Position requires the candidate to have an understanding of engineering discipline such as human factors, modeling and simulation. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Experience in analysis of requirements. Experience in translating requirements into design. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, physics, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred Nine or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming or naval architecture Experience working with specific software and/or hardware systems with a specific concentration in one or more areas Experience working with one or more structured programming languages Experience working with design principles and applications Other Qualifications Knowledge of Human Factors Experience with EIA-632a a plus Nine plus years of experience or more in system engineering work Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
