E-Commerce Director - €70 to €100k DOE - Leading Irish Brand

The Company

The company is a leading Irish brand that is based in Dublin but very much has national presence. This retail chain has been ingrained in the Irish marketplace for many years but the need as now arisen for the company to recruit an e-commerce director. The broad remit for the role is to develop and implement an e-commerce strategy in order to effectively to compete with their main competitors.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with and managing a very large brand's online presence. They will have demonstrated an ability to take control of a number of website and manage each facet of its development. The role involves developing an effective e-commerce strategy for the brand that will enable them to communicate the value proposition to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities and Competencies

· 3rd level qualification in a related field.

· The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading an online strategy from a retail perspective.

· The candidate will be able to map an online strategy from inception to completions communicating company goals at director level.

· The career of the candidate will demonstrate a proven level of succession and leadership.

· At least 8 years experience managing an online brand.

· Excellent knowledge of the latest SEO, PPC, SEM and affiliate marketing techniques.

· Ability to manage a team and work to tight deadlines.

· The website manager will be responsible for making sure the site is up to date and liaising with all other relevant departments.

· Previous website design experience in essential and you must be able to succeed in a challenging environment.

· You must have a proven ability to instigate, direct and oversee a company's online strategy in order to succeed in this role.

For this rewarding yet challenging position, you will be creative, a good strategic thinker, clear communicator, energetic as well as having strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.

In addition, candidates should have solid experience of developing and setting strategies and be able to network effectively with various in-house functions.
