This organisation is one of Australia's largest and most respected contractors operating across the Civil, Building and Heavy Infrastructure sectors. Here in Newcastle they have an established team of experts that are focussing on developing their business in the Hunter Valley Mining Sector.
Having secured a recent project in the Hunter they are now looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a strong earthworks background to assist in the delivery of this $10M+ project.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of site activities in conjunction with the Site Manager. You will be responsible for solving any design issues, co-ordinating safety and environmental management, contracts management, sub-contractor and direct labour management, planning and cost control. This role involves full circle project management and requires an experienced project Engineer that has worked in a similar position
You will have degree qualifications in civil engineering, experience managing earthworks projects and have previous exposure to managing a fleet of scrapers.
Due to continued growth and development in this mining sector opportunities will arise to move into Project Management positions in the coming years. It is expected that you will be looking for a permanent career opportunity in the Newcastle/Hunter Region.
