The individual selected for this position will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, supporting and documenting software, including packages. Providing technical expertise and direction in developing and supporting system-level programs. The individual in this position can participate in all phases of the software development cycle. Working with the entire team to ensure development conforms to requirements. Key responsibilities include: Designing, coding, testing, and implementing complex programs and packages Developing appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established IT standards, including the Meijer Methodology Developing real-time applications Conducting systems tests, monitoring results, and taking required corrective actions as needed Interfacing with customers to determine requirements and fixes Aiding in systems development planning and monitoring Enhancing existing systems Participating in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews Preparing detailed designs, specs, and test plans Providing technical consultation in new systems development, new package system evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems and participating in structured walk-throughs and technical reviews Taking a small request completely through the business and technical design This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.
