Electrical and Controls Project Engineer Job in Birmingham B46UD, Midlands UK

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, high calibre and committed Electrical and Control Project Engineer to complement their established and successful team.

The successful candidate will be a high calibre, self motivated and confident individual able to demonstrate both flexibility and commitment and the ability and initiative to manage and implement projects predominantly for a sizable Food Manufacturing site in the West Midlands, and who will be responsible for managing a number of additional control and electrical engineers as well as themselves to implement projects both on time and within strict budgetary timescale constraints.

A team player with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure where necessary, you will excel in providing on site customer facing support, as well as co-ordinating projects, creating successful tendering documentation and achieving smooth project handover. You will demonstrate the ability to undertake both Control Panel build and Control Panel modification design activities and design approvals as well as associated Control Software development, again coordinating the activities of fellow software engineers and managing and working with fellow team members in final system commissioning activities, so flexibility to travel is essential for the role.

Additionally you will be skilled in both developing new and nurturing existing Customer Relations and will keep up to date on developments in the market place with regards to new technology, competition and changing customer requirements to ensure remaining at the forefront of technology solutions.

With proven Project Engineering / Management and client liaison skills as well as previous estimating and Quotation generation experience, you will possess previous Electrical Design experience (including Electrical Schematics, Control Panel GA's, Cable Block Diagrams, Cable / Termination Schedules, Bill of Materials) and associated PLC/HMI programming skills (Allen Bradley preferred) and will be experienced in undertaking On-site Panel Surveys, the production of Contract Documentation Packages and both an awareness of and ability to conform to required QA Procedures. Skills in Safety Circuit Design, Instrumentation, ATEX / Intrinsically Safe Systems and Pneumatics as well as the use of AutoCad will additionally prove to be distinctly advantageous.
