As an Electrical Engineer at the Company, you will work closely with customers, product management, and the rest of the engineering team to conceive, design, and implement new products, features and debug the complex, multi-factored issues that arise when robots and humans interact. You will work on all aspects of the Company's products, and there's nothing like seeing your developments drive around the building and customer sites! This position is a key part of their engineering organization, so you must be able to communicate clearly with individuals from different backgrounds as your work progresses from design, systems engineering and testing all the way to final delivery.
Position Description:
Perform design, layout, testing and evaluation of electronic and electromechanical devices and systems. Perform product development activities including interpretation of specifications and documentation of requirements.
Assist in engineering projects by analyzing, then creating designs from concept sketches. Assist in design reviews and participates in the transition of designs to manufacturing and service. Development of electromechanical controls for robotic vehicles.
Activities may include fabrication, modification, and evaluation of components or circuitry. Assist in verifying designs against system or product specifications as well as debugging and troubleshooting hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Conceive and implement solutions to complex problems
- Write design documentation for new features and changes
- Work remotely with field personnel evaluate issues and failures to determine root cause
- Be an integral part of the team building the next generation of material handling robots
- Develop and implement board level and component designs for control and monitoring of our products
- Execute test plans, document and analyze results
- Concept development and analysis using engineering principles
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical, or related discipline with 2-4 years of experience or Master’s Degree in a technical discipline
- Understanding of control systems and design of electrical systems
- Personable, with great written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Experience with development and implementation of more advanced control methods a plus
