Electro / Mechanical Engineer Job in St. Albans AL13YD, Home Counties UK
We are looking for someone with Conveyor experience to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical aspects of installed auto sort systems. You will need strong background on working on plant / manufacturing machinery, specially conveyors. You will also carry out all repair and PPM's on the building to ensure it is all running smoothly to standard. Duties include carrying out PPM's, maintenance inspections and fire checks. Detect and correct auto sort and conveyor systems failures to sites in London Colney and Heathrow. Investigate all mechanical failures and repair. Reactive maintenance duties. General building maintenance and repairs. Assist other electrical and mechancial maintenance issues as and when required. React to all emergency maintenance issues. You must be prepared to work at heights. Work to Company procedures and policies. Be able to organise routine servicing schedule. Check and calibrate instruments to make sure they are accurate. Carry out quality inspections.
BTec Certifcate / Diploma in Operations and Maintenance Engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic, and manufacturing). Excellent proven practical and technical skills. IT literate, with qualification in maths and science. Able to read and understand engineering drawings and principles. Proactive attitude, with excellent problem solving skills. FLT licence advantageous. HS aware. Skilled in use of power tools. This is a shift rota position and there is a shift allowance on top of salary.
You will need at least 5 years experience within similar environment.
