Position: Electronics Technician

 

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager/Test Lead

Department: Manufacturing/Assembly Test

Overview:

 

Egemin Automation is looking for an Electronics/Test Technician to work with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles). This position requires knowledge of electronics, familiarity with Windows OS, mechanical aptitude, the ability to learn quickly and perform with minimal supervision. The individual will work in the Manufacturing Test Department testing both new assemblies and complete vehicles, as well as repairing returned parts, and other tasks as necessary.

 

Experience/Degree Required:

 

2 Years College or Technical School/Electronics Training

 

Other Requirements:

·         Occasional Travel

·         Frequent Overtime Required

 

Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to):

·         Test electronic assemblies before they are installed in upper level assemblies

·         Repair parts returned from customers

·         Power up vehicles

·         Test vehicles in a simulation of the customer’s system prior to shipping

·         Run tests for Engineering

·         Other duties as necessary

 

Experience/Skills Desired

 

Electrical:

·         Ability to read wiring diagrams

·         Ability to read schematics

·         Able to use a multimeter and oscilloscope

 

Mechanical:

·         Familiarity with common hand tools

·         Knowledge of hydraulics

 

Software:

·         Familiarity with computers

·         Familiarity with Windows OS, Ethernet, IP and networking

 

Other

·         Ability to drive a hi-lo (Will need to get a license)

·         Ability to move heavy loads, such as vehicle barriers and concrete blocks

·         Ability to learn quickly

·         Ability to read and understand instructions, manuals, etc.

·         Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality

·         Ability to operate independently/work with minimal supervision

·         Troubleshooting and problem solving

·         Able to deal with changing schedules and priorities
