Purpose and Summary of the Role:

Administers emergency service programs, including ER-Team training and Maintenance/Inspections of Site Fire Protection Systems. Performs support role during emergency operations provides direction to the site in preparation for, and during emergency events.

In a team environment the ERT position will:
* Perform safety roles during shutdown/turn around periods, fill role as a site safety contact.
*Maintain Fire water pumps, underground fire water piping,fixed water spray, and alarm systems up to NFPA Standards and maintain records.
*The ERT position is also directly responsible for building, coordinating conducting training for emergency response personnel and maintain records.
*Maintain emergency vehicles and response equipment to include PPE to NFPA Standard and maintain records.
*Manage EOC updates and conduct EOC training
*Manage Site Emergency Response Plans, and conduct emergency drills for site
*Provide a professional level resource for projects related to fire protection.
Create work notifications, requisitions, and manage all site repairs related to fire systems.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

*High School Diploma or equivalent

*Emergency Response skills, self driven initiative, strong desire to learn and grow, strong commitment to safety.

* Computer knowledge to include Outlook, Word, Excel

Desired Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

*Ability to instruct emergency response team
*Skills and previous training in Haz-Mat, Rescue basic, EMS, Fire disciplines
*Knowledge of Maintenance practices, and good mechanical aptitude
*EMT-Basic minimum
*NFPA 1041 Pro board certified
*NFPA 1081
*CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist)
*General knowledge of life critical permit process
*Mechanical background
