Employee Remuneration Tax Adviser

Position Description

Responsibilities will include tax advisory work for the EMEA region covering the following:

-Advising on executive compensation programs, and compensation plan and transaction structuring
-Providing advice with respect to structuring, life cycle events and administration of carried interest plans and leveraged co-investment plans
-Advising on all employment related securities issues
-Providing support to employment lawyers on employee tax matters
-Work with HR on tax matters relating to international mobility programs
-Senior management presentations on findings and recommendations
-Managing external tax advisors.

Skills Required

-A UK qualified lawyer, tax adviser or accountant specialising in employee remuneration
-Significant transactional and technical experience in a law firm, accounting firm or in industry
-Proven project management skills
-Ability to deal confidently with senior professionals, both within Morgan Stanley and externally
-Excellent analytical, research, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Strong relationship-building skills
-The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, time sensitive multi-engagement environment with varying deliverables and changing requirements
-A dedication to teamwork.

Skills Desired

Desirable background includes experience the following:

-Employee compensation program design and implementation
-International tax matters relating to employee mobility
-Carried interest plans and co-investment plans
-Partnership taxation knowledge a plus
-Some knowledge of US and European tax issues relating to the above a plus.
