Employee Tax/Payroll Senior Manager/ Director

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a manager or senior manager to join a mid-tier accountancy firm in their employer solutions team. This is a mixed and varied role and offers something quite different to a lot of the opportunities on the market place.
 
The main responsibilities of the role include:
• Manage and delegate to staff of a suitable level and provide high-level technical support.
• Ensure junior staff complete work within allocated timescales and to the standard required.  Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets
• Understand key issues on all cases handled by the team in order to answer any internal/external enquiries. In addition, keep abreast of all on-going assignments within the department
• Assist other team members in providing technical solutions to client problems and issues and generally support cross-discipline advice
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for ESG and target recurring revenue from existing clients.
• Be involved in and develop the ESG marketing strategy, including implementation of the agreed strategy
• Develop relationships within MS to maximise cross selling opportunities
• Produce six monthly reports, confirming business development initiatives / activities
• Assist in marketing initiatives, such as the preparation of Factsheets, tendering to prospective clients etc
• Prepare and present and/or assist in the preparation of external/internal presentations and training courses
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation.

 
The client desired skill set is someone with a mix of employment tax and payroll. This is a senior level role and as result our client need an individual who has previous experience managing people as well as reviewing and signing-off assignments.
