An exciting opportunity has arisen to join BAE Systems Platform Solutions in Rochester as an Engineering Project Manager. The successful candidate will take ownership of the development and execution of the overall engineering solution to specification, schedule and cost requirements.

As an Engineering Project Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

Ensuring that the product meets the requirements of the programme and is robust and producible.
Management of risks and opportunities.
Develop and maintain project staffing plans.
Acting as the key interface with the customer for all technical issues ensuring all customer needs are met.
Co-ordinate follow-on new business for the Engineering function.

As an Engineering Project Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Ideally experienced in avionics design.
Qualified to Degree level in an Engineering or Science related discipline.
Strong engineering background with substantial experience of managing large and complex development programmes
A proven track record of monitoring and interpreting customer requirements.
