Overview: Our Clients Enterprise Architecture organization is responsible for driving the standardization and integration of data, applications and infrastructure at our Client. The qualified applicant will provide oversight and drive technical agendas over common business processes across the IT application support groups. The qualified application will drive the prioritization and creation of standards and initiate projects for strategic initiatives across IT. This position requires technical architecture expertise as well as business analysis skills. The position will be involved in the development of the roadmap for the entire solution delivery space including development tools and integration tools. This position will provide an enterprise perspective to major projects in order to drive enterprise standards and set strategic direction in the application delivery space. The ideal candidate should have a high interest in and will understand the vendor roadmaps for their development tool suite. In addition, this position will drive information management initiatives and the planning of the application lifecycle. Responsibilities 1. Build effective relationships with all the application delivery groups. 2. Study the roadmaps of our strategic third party software vendors (e.g. SAP and Microsoft) to understand their plans and how they could impact our client. 3. Help drive and sell strategic initiatives in the application space. 4. Participate in project reviews to ensure use of standard enterprise wide solutions. 5. Drive the coordination between infrastructure and application groups, drive the development of roadmaps to set direction, rollout plans and upgrades of: a. Application support tools like Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio and reporting or analytical tools b. IT enterprise-wide methodologies like the Solution Delivery Life Cycle/ Software development methodology c. Database technologies (e.g. SQL and Oracle) 6. Drive the creation of governance groups and major projects to deliver enterprise tools. 7. Assist in the development of Marathon application development policies and standards. 8. May require overnight travel less than 20% of the time.
