Kelly Engineering Resources has an immediate need for a Cost Estimator for a client company in NW Houston. This position is a contract to hire position. This position will prepare cost estimates for process applications engineering staff that supports the sale of process equipment. Experience in preparing cost estimates for the fabrication and assembly of pressure vessels, piping, instruments, and electrical is required. This position will be responsible for working with the engineering staff to prepare detailed labor/material/service cost estimates for technical proposals based on Bills of Material, Engineering drawings, customer specifications, materials cost database and other source documents in support of customer project bids and standard base units cost accuracy. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent experience. Experience: 5 - 10 years? experience in the petroleum / petrochemical engineering industry in either pressure vessel design and fabrication or consulting engineering environments as a Cost Estimator. Fluency in Microsoft software programs required. Good written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience dealing with international customers and large engineering companies is an asset. Knowledge: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Microsoft Project
