Event Technician Job ID: HITS09111195 Event Technician - Annapolis Junction, MD - HITS09111195 Description: Event Technician Job Code: HITS09111195 Job Description: · Work with technicians involved with proper maintenance and operation of telecommunications systems and equipment · Identify network problems, isolates root causes, and initiate corrective action · Determine priority of action and additional resources required, based on severity of service interruption · Provide technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services · Interact with field engineers and core engineers regarding ongoing network activities · Ascertain compliance with security, safety, and environmental guidelines · Generate reports on network performance, trouble-shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements · Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications Qualifications: · IAT Level I certification (A+, Network+, SSCP) per DoD Directive 85 70. 1 · 0-2+ years experience with MS/MA/MBA · 3+ years experience with BS/BA · 7+ years experience with 2 years post Secondary/AA-AS Degree · 11+ years experience with no advanced degree Preferred Additional Skills: · ITIL(R) v3 Foundation certification desired · Good ability to lead and work as part of a team This position requires the candidate to already possess an active clearance and to maintain the clearance.
