Raytheon is looking for an energetic, motivated System Administrator/Engineer to join our department and participate in the leading-edge technologies that we get to be involved with. The roles include the following: Providing engineering and technical expertise to the Messaging Services Team. Providing technical support in evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting an exchange environment, as well as mobile computing environments (blackberry is a must, and SME PED and L3 Guardian are a plus). Assisting in developing methods to minimize customer impact, create/edit project documentation, and transition new services to operational teams. Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, work within the scope of the project, and adhere to time constraints. Helping to meet strategic business goals, client requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).. Required Skills: Top Secret Clearance with a Polygraph Must have a BS Degree in related field, or equivalent experience. Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of technical experience. Technical experience should be in two or more of the following areas: Exchange 2003; Exchange 2007; and/or Exchange 2010 (to include transitioning from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007, or Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 environments); Windows Server 2003/2008; Blackberry; and SME PED. Desired Skills: Candidate should be an energetic self-starter and should possess a knowledge of systems administration; networking; client/server applications; hardware configuration and documentation Candidate should have good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot system problems; Candidate should be comfortable before an audience of peers and/or seniors Candidate should possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Required Education (including Major): B.S. Degree plus 9 yrs of experience or H.S. with 13 years of experience. Experience must be directly related to function. Degree must be in technically related field. A Master's Degree counts for two years experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience.
