Facilities Manager Job in Los Angeles 90028, California Us
The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles campus, seeks a Facilities Manager responsible for the overall operation of the Facilities Department, including the maintenance, repair, renovation and security of the property including all buildings and grounds (750,000 sq. ft.).
Responsibilities include: the supervision of the facilities operation, including security, mailroom, duplicating and receiving; preparation and management of the approved Facilities Management Budget; monitoring of the physical condition of the Academy and grounds and make recommendations to administration regarding major maintenance and renovation; supervise any remodeling or new construction; and ensure compliance with federal state and local codes, regulations and ordinances that involve facilities management and its operation.
Job Requirements include:
- Hands on knowledge of various building trades; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
- An understanding of the construction process, including bidding, contracting, permits, budget management and supervision.
- Ability to organize and lead the facilities staff to achieve its goals.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations with an understanding of safety, air quality and other standards which are required by law.
- Bachelor’s degree desired with a combination of 5 or more years experience in plant operation with 2 - 3 years supervisory experience.
