The Business Manager is responsible for the financial management of contracts ensuring performance within cost, schedule and management constraints. This includes reporting, analysis and recommendations to program and organizational management. Additionally, the Business Manager must ensure contracts are conducted within the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) standards. This responsibility is met by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with Government audit agencies such as DCAA, DLA and DCMC and with the customer.
- Working with management and engineering, the Business Manager is responsible for generating and submitting Rough Order Magnitude (ROMs) and formal cost proposals which represent current, complete and accurate data. The Business Manager is designated as the 'book boss' for all cost proposal volumes generated.
- The Business Manager will be responsible to support fact-finding and negotiation of proposals submitted. This includes support of Government audits of submitted proposals, again ensuring the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) are maintained and all information is current, complete and accurate.
- Following contract award, the Business Manager will establish internal budgets and use earned value management tools to report contract cost and schedule performance. The individual will participate in setting the baseline and supporting the cost account managers in monthly variance analysis reporting. The Business Manager will have to ensure that the Program maintains ANSI/EIA-748-A standards on the earned value system used by the program.
- The Business Manager will prepare quarterly estimates at completion (EACs). Additionally, the individual will ensure timely preparation of invoices. Some minimal travel may be required in support of these efforts.

- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities required
- Minimum of 10 years program control experience
- Experience with EVMS systems preferred
- Experience with Oracle or SAP reporting tools preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Less than 10% travel required
