Freight and Logistics Auditor/ Accountant

Western Emulsions, Inc is a pavement preservation asphalt emulsions manufacturer and distributor with corporate headquarters located in Tucson and plants located in several western states.
Experience/Qualifications:
Should have at least three years experience dealing with freight and logistics
Experience with specialty freight haulers especially asphalt or other petroleum based products a plus
Experience with freight procurement and freight rate and ancillary charges calculations
Must have above average knowledge and experience working with Excel
Freight charges auditing experience a plus
Some accounting experience desired
Analytical thinker as well as a creative problem solver
Detail oriented with an eye for process improvement
Any SAP Business One experience a plus
Job Description:
Manage cost effective audit and verification of freight charges on a pre-payment basis
Reconcile freight bills received to freight charges invoiced to customers
Review compliance with corporate procedures and report deviations to management
Assist in improving business practices and procedures related to procuring freight and logistics services
Work with sales and administrative staff to provide more cost effective freight services to customers
Perform additional related responsibilities and/or special projects as assigned
