FrontEnd Web Developer Job in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
The Role:
As a Front-end Web Developer you will be part of a team building a modern, sophisticated web application using cutting-edge technologies and current best practices for web development. You will work with designers and server-side developers to implement the client-side of a fully-interactive, single-page style AJAX RIA. Keep your skills sharp and current in this exciting, Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with developers, interaction design and product management to specify requirements and design UI for OUR CLIENT’s core service offering
· Program elegant, responsive, usable UI features for our enterprise-level web application
· Fully participate in OUR CLIENT’s lean/Agile development processes
· Bring new ideas and solutions to the team as an active participant in Sprint planning and other meetings
· Provide direction and guidance to other team members regarding design and implementation
· Share team responsibility for testing and quality of all release products
· Participate in writing User Stories
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a well-rounded web developer who can move comfortably between all aspects for client-side web development.
· Minimum 5 years of experience performing web development focused primarily on the client-side
· Extensive experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript an absolute must
· Understanding and experience with of a wide variety of web technologies: XHTML, HTML5, AJAX, XML/XSLT, JSON, jQuery
· Graphic/visual design or UI design skills will be beneficial
· Experience with Agile development practices is an asset
