Our client, a world leading oil trader and refiner, are seeking an experienced individual within the North American Fuel Oil markets. A successful candidate would have experience in trading between US Gulf Coast / Caribbean and Singapore / Asia.
Experience from oil majors or leading trading houses / institutions is preferable, and knowledge of US/Asian arbs are essential.
Responsibilities of Fuel Oil Trader, Physical, Houston:
· Trading physical Fuel Oil in order to maximize commercial revenue
· Provide strategies for hedging and/or maintain paper/derivative trading book
· Establish and maintain strong commercial relationships
· Adopting appropriate trading and analysis strategies with a view to maximize commercial revenue
· Provide support to business development teams
· Work closely with management and regional parallel business units
Skills required for Fuel Oil Trader, Physical, Houston:
· At least 5 years experience in physical fuel oil trading position with a focus on US Gulf Coast / Caribbean and Asia arbitrage
· Physical trading essential, paper and hedging experience would also be beneficial
· A strong analytical and/or commercial background
· Be willing to be based in Houston
· A solid understanding of refinery Economics
