Full Time Contractor / Consultant Job in Stavanger, Rogaland Norway

My retained client is now seeking an Economic Development Consultant to work on an initial 12 month contract. This opportunity would suit someone seeking a new and exciting challenge which involves attracting Nordic based companies to invest in a designated UK Region. The position is to be based in Stavanger but will require frequent travel within Norway as well as to London, Regional UK clients and also to other Nordic countries.

As a senior contracting Consultant, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful new business/client wins and revenue delivery primarily within the European Oil Gas markets with quantifiable experience of the Norwegian/Nordic marketplace specifically.  Supplementary knowledge understanding of the Renewable Energies, Chemicals, and Technology or Life Science markets would also prove advantageous.

Profile:

The post holder will be an experienced commercial sales business development consultant that specializes in customer centric, consultative selling techniques. Structured in approach and highly self motivated, the contracting consultant must be experienced in assessing/mapping current markets and then constructing a strategic target CRM prospect model designed to leverage existing country investors and identify potential new network opportunities. Knowledge of additional industries including Life Science, Business Services, Finance, and Technology is also advantageous

Remit:

Through effective relationship building and clearly identifying individual company needs, wants and requirements, you will propose present high value solutions that ensure potential UK investors can receive positive ROI inline with expectations. In addition to this, you will be required to provide consultative support to UK based Oil Gas industry as to how they can develop their own international framework and potentially achieve export growth.

Reporting into the Northern European Regional Manager, post holder will focus on the Norway and Nordic Region but will collaborate extensively with an existing internal support framework that currently canvasses the broader Northern European territories. The contractor will also be required to participate at relevant market sector events and construct an effective network of appropriate internal stakeholders and colleagues across Europe.

Key Essential Experience Required

·         Extensive UK Norwegian Commercial Oil Gas Industry Experience

·         Extensive Sales Business Development experience – Consultative approach to solution selling

·         Strong track record of building relationships, partnerships and effective CRM utalisation

·         Ability to engage with a wide rage of stakeholders such as Chief Executive, Board and Government Minister level

·         Project Management delivery experience

·         Ability to interpret relevant MI and key imperial commercial data

·         Fluent Norwegian English Language

Experience of the following would be desirable:

·         Understanding of UK inward investment government policy (financial support) across all government agencies

·         Understanding of UK/labor market and legal framework

·         Understanding of UK corporation tax and tax incentives

Salary:

This role will be offered on a limited Company Contractor basis paid on a daily rate based on a 35 hr working week. Rate will be Depending on Experience.
