The G4S International Logistics European Region is growing and undergoing a structural change to support that growth.  This creates a real opportunity for the General Manager (GM) to shape the commercial direction of the business and position it for future growth.

This position has 2 direct reports and 8 indirect reports.


Role Responsibility:

As General Manager you role will be to develop and achieve annual budget for the UK business creating and implementing a strategic key account management and acquisition strategy.

Expand and maintain relationships with decision makers/influencers on multiple levels for strategic/key clients, and oversight of core clients.

Direct LHR Operations Manager to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency whilst working with the LHR Operations and Finance teams to prepare monthly trading reports, maintain competitive cost basis and meet agreed performance objectives.

Ensure the European Region provides the necessary support for the G4SI global network.

Develop and maintain commercial/operational relationships across the wider G4S Group to improve the customer experience, monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and diversify the client base building relationships with key influencers across commercial, government and relevant trade associations.

Be aware of/engage in opportunities within G4S and through external sources for professional developmentof self and employees (succession planning).

This individual will play a key role within a developing structure, cementing and furthering client relationships with high profile clients.This person will have the capacity to influence others outside of the organisation’s objectives delivering results as part of a business plan, driving change and innovation.

The capacity to identify key issues in business situations and provide/identify a range of possible options.

Evidences first class account management skills to influence and retain key clients within a very competitive, challenging market place.

Show an ability to forge relationships across differing cultures and personalities, no matter what the level.

Be driven and ambitious, looking to develop opportunities and business growth.

Be able to Interpret data and report on trends and anomalies in order to influence activity


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

·Must have relevant managerial experience working in a commercially driven environment
·Proven career track record in growth and scope of responsibility
·Excellent client relationship skills
·Well developed account management skills, including account planning and strategy
·It literate with Microsoft Office Suite
·Ability to create and develop professional client presentations
·Knowledge and experience of budgeting/forecasting process
·Ability to provide market analysis and trading reports
·Flexible and adaptable ‘can do’ attitude
·Able to commit to significant travel when required
·Preferably degree educated
