The area: New Products, Media and Platforms The New Products, Media and Platforms (NPMP) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. The role: Global 3rd Party Ad Serving Technology Certification Specialist Behind every advertising campaign at Google are systems to make it run. Behind every system is the Ad Serving Operations team to make sure that happens flawlessly. As a member of the team, you are a technical consultant with the dual role of being both client-facing and growing systems from the back-end. An expert in our tools and operations, you provide support, answer field inquiries and troubleshoot client issues. Beyond client-facing issues, your expertise also gives you the insight to recommend product and system improvements to our engineering teams. Your interactions on both sides ensure that when clients advertise with Google, their back-end systems never miss a beat. As a Global 3rd-Party Ad Serving Technology Certification Specialist, you will serve as the main point of contact to test and certify 3rd-party ad serving technologies (such as DART for Advertisers, Atlas, Eyeblaster, PointRoll, etc.) that Google's top advertising clients request to use. These vendors ad technologies would potentially be served on the Google Display Network and any of Google's owned and operated sites such as YouTube, Google Image Search, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring that these 3rd-party vendors execute the necessary contracts and complete all necessary testing of their technologies on our various platforms. This includes managing all incoming requests clients and sales teams to certify new 3rd-party vendors, gathering the various testing materials from the vendors, trafficking the ad tags on all of Google's various platforms, and QA-ing and troubleshooting any issues with the vendors ad tags. You will also be responsible for maintaining all internal and external lists of certified vendors as well as our instructional guides for trafficking various vendor tags within the different Google platforms. Ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are a must. You will also be working on bugs and new feature requests with engineers from Google and/or 3rd-party vendors, so the ability to comprehend and communicate at a technical level is important. Additionally, you must have the ability to clearly describe technical issues to non-technical contacts such as clients and salespeople. Finally, you will have close interaction with the ad trafficking teams who you will support on policy and technical questions that they may have regarding 3rd-party ad serving technologies. Responsibilities: Manage certification requests and inquiries from advertising clients who wish to use new 3rd-party technologies on the Google Display Network and Google owned operated sites such as YouTube. QA and troubleshoot advertising creative files and third-party tags. Manage relationships with third-party vendors during the contract and testing process as well as maintain post-certification support. Maintain internal and external resource guides regarding 3rd-party ad serving technologies. Support the Google Ad Operations and Sales team with any technical questions they may have on 3rd-party ad serving technologies. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience). 2 years experience working in online advertising operations. Basic experience with HTML/JavaScript, Flash development and knowledge of Actionscript (2 and 3) Experience working with third-party advertising technologies (Mediaplex, Eyeblaster, Atlas, DoubleClick). Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Yield Manager, AdExchange, Google AdWords, DoubleClick Search or another display buying and search platform. Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript and rich media/Flash banner functionalities. Strong communication and client-servicing skills.
