This position will involve accounting project management, milestone definition, gap identification, and working with a team to direct and develop processes and solutions to ensure timely and accurate execution of financial data. Accountabilities: Enable process improvements for Account to Report within General Accounting (GA), Account Operation and Compliance (AOC) or Business Unit Controllership (BUC) Ensure KPI's are created, measured and achieved that accurately measure the performance of the end to end process. This includes not only defining the metrics and measuring, but helping to implement the processes needed to achieve the objectives. Deliver accounting process improvement projects that balance the goals of accuracy, efficiency and timeliness. Work with the GA, AOC and BUC groups, to generate innovative ways of improving the overall Account to Report process. Manage agreed process improvements to ensure appropriate outcomes, within agreed upon timetables Ensure processes developed are streamlined and utilize standard system functionality Ensure the necessary business controls and process controls are built into the new processes Work with the business, both informally and by being part of specific forums (eg IT, marketing/sales, Decision Support) to identify any changes to processes necessary through changing business requirements Monitor BPO efforts to address any shortfalls in performance against SLAs, so as to reach acceptable standards in subsequent periods Dimension of the Position: Reports to Position Title: Director, GAO North America Significant relationship management with General Accounting, Account Operation and Compliance and Business Unit Controllership including worldwide interface with counterparts in GAO International Significant interface with outsource provider in certain situations especially when moving work to that provider Global alignment Key Interfaces: General Accounting, Account Operation and Compliance and Business Unit Controllership, Decision Support, BPO, GAO International I.T. - for any systems implementations Global Process owners / management - alignment with Global processes All interested individuals must apply online. Qualification 10-15 years of work experience in accounting and process changes, MBA or CPA desired Strong accounting knowledge including Hyperion, Intercompany, and other complex accounting packages or processes Experience with enterprise wide and/or cross functional large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity Experience in business process redesign and project management or equivalent Demonstrated relationship skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain relationships at varying levels in the organization Proven experience of having successfully implemented change in complex organizations Excellent General Accounting package knowledge (Hyperion, SAP a plus), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Critical thinking and problem solving skills Excellent planning and organization Excellent strategic, interpersonal, and communication skills Excellent leading and influencing skills Additional Info Minimum Age 18+ years old Job Industries Customer Service
