Global Real Estate Fund requires Top Tier Consultancy Analyst
Our client is one of the leading owners, developers and operators of first class real estate. They invest globally across asset classes and due to a high volume of activity, particularly in the UK, Dutch and Spanish markets, the European Investment team in London are looking to expand. Primarily the role will be to analyse real estate acquisition opportunities, assist in the due diligence process and the preparation of internal recommendation memos, and undertake market research necessary to determine appropriate underwriting assumptions. As well as this the expectation is that the Analysts will have hands on exposure to the assets themselves from day one. This would include exposure across the Investment cycle, the investment process and also a degree of exposure to asset management, mostly on the strategic side.
Responsibilities and Duties;
- Working across the investment cycle, supporting all steps in the acquisition of real estate assets from pricing to closing, helping to implement asset management strategy.
- Responsible for modelling cash flows of an investment opportunity to determine returns and quantify effects of potential risks;
- Understand complex capital structures and have the ability to develop customized promote models;
- Assist the deal team in market due diligence to understand key value drivers including supply and demand dynamics and site specific advantages;
- Responsible for assisting the team in all aspects of physical due diligence including working with third party consultants to understand all the potential risks related to the physical structure of the property;
- Ability to navigate and comprehend complex legal documents (PS, Loan, Joint Venture and Leases).
Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and demonstrated excellence in their academic and extracurricular activities;
- Up to Three years of relevant experience;
- Strong computer and modelling skills (Excel, Word, ARGUS, PowerPoint, Access);
- Strong organizational and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Able to work under tight deadlines; and
- Able to manage several parallel projects.
