We are now seeking a highly experienced Global Test Data Acquisition Specialist to join the Global Service Engineering team.
Duties include:
•Develop, Install and maintain data acquisition systems for technical services investigations, both globally at end user sites and within CGT plants.
•Support investigation activity with HV test diagnosis processes, equipment and knowledge.
•Advise local plant test personnel on data acquisition and test techniques.
•Provide training for Tech Centre Engineers, Customer Service Engineers and Customers Field Engineers.
•Give guidance on developing specialised test techniques to meet technical data collection needs, including remote data acquisition through server based applications.
•Assist product validation activity globally where required, assessing plant capability to maximise utilisation and capability, developing best in class field test capability.
You should ideally have a technical degree or equivalent and have demonstrable experience in a Chief of Test / Senior Tech Centre Engineer role. You should be fully conversant with low and medium voltage generators, diagnostic test systems and procedures for rotating machines up to 13,800V, sound product knowledge of machines and control systems conversant with of ISO and International standards, You should have a working knowledge of electrical machines insulation systems. Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite including Power Point, MAPICS, INTRALINK, and with expert proficiency of MS Word and Excel. You should have a sound knowledge of data acquisition / communications software and language.
