Portfolio Construction interacts extensively with Trading, Portfolio Managers, Compliance, Client Relationship Management, Product Management and Portfolio Administration to support the daily requirements of portfolio management.
The team currently seek an Analyst/Associate to be based in Singapore. The successful candidate will collaborate with Fundamental Equity investment teams across regions to ensure accurate implementation of investment decisions, enhance and implement procedures, and potentially undertake portfolio performance attribution/risk analysis.
Principle Responsibilities
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of GSAM’s Equity strategies and client portfolios, and their associated objectives and restrictions. Primary focus will be Asian strategies in China/Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Korea.
• Create and review trades to ensure they are compliant with client guidelines and maintain cash at target levels.
• Monitor cash flow activity on portfolios, and collaborate with Traders to monitor progress of orders, watch price limits, and communicate potential cash issues that may result.
• Act as first point of contact for Compliance issues raised on portfolios, and associated investigation and escalation.
• Proactively evaluate procedures in order to improve business controls related to portfolio management.
• Potentially provide periodic and ad hoc portfolio performance analysis and risk analysis to Portfolio Managers.

• Must be able to focus and remain clear-headed under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Genuine interest in equity markets and products.
• Meticulous attention to detail, combined with an analytical approach.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to be proactive and assertive in identifying potential portfolio issues.
• Adaptability and ability to learn quickly.
• Participation in the CFA program will be sponsored and encouraged.
