GSAM: Third Party Distribution (TPD) Sales Support (Nordic Client Coverage), Analyst recruitment

Investment Management provides investment and wealth advisory services to help clients preserve and grow their financial assets. Our clients include institutions and high-net-worth individuals as well as retail investors, who access our products through a network of third-party distributors around the world.

Working with a team of relationship/sales managers covering the Nordic region at GSAM, the individual will play a key role in the ongoing support of our existing and prospective clients. The client/prospect base is varied and consists of asset managers, banks and other savings institutions. The individual will work alongside the senior relationship/sales managers assisting in developing and maintaining relationships with multiple points of contact at the client/prospect organizations, enabling him/her to understand and address their needs.

The individual will work closely with various teams within GSAM, including portfolio management, product specialists, risk performance, legal, operations, marketing and compliance to meet our clients’ daily needs, as well as to support our efforts in retaining and growing our assets. This position is based in London but will require occasional travel to the Nordic region.

•Working closely with the Nordic relationship/sales managers helping to develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and prospects with the objective of understanding and helping to address
their individual investment needs.
• Proactively supporting the team in the servicing of clients/prospects to provide solutions to their various enquiries.
• Liaising with the various GSAM stakeholders on behalf of our clients and the team, including portfolio management and product specialists (Fixed Income Currency, Fundamental Equity, Quantitative Investment Strategies,
Alternative Investments), as well as other areas such as risk performance, legal, operations, marketing and compliance as relevant.
• Coordinating client reporting and communication of product updates and marketing materials to clients/ prospects.
• Coordinating team reporting and communication of progress and business development internally within GSAM.
• Coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (“RFP”), ensuring accurate, relevant and timely completion and submission.

Experience required

• Nordic language essential (ideally Swedish)
• Experience of delivering excellent client service (internally or externally)
• Product knowledge, ideally across asset classes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients/prospects and internal contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented and self-motivated.
